1867 PETRUS GERARDUS VERTIN - DUTCH REALIST OIL PAINTING ON BOARD, 16" CITYSCAPE EARTH / ANIMALS I was introduced to herDetails + Condition: Oil on board painting of a Dutch town village genre scene by Petrus Geradus Vertin (1819 1893). The scene beautifully depicts daily Dutch life in a town or village. Signed by Vertin, and dated 1867 on the lower right corner. On the back is what appears to be the word of "Bosch," which could refer to the Dutch town Bosch En Duin and thus, the subject location of the painting. The painting retains its original frame.
