It belonged to the Tyrannosauridae family, the same family as the famous Tyrannosaurus rex. This carnivorous dinosaur inhabited what is now North America, specifically what is now Canada and the United States. Physically, Gorgosaurus shared many characteristics with other tyrannosaurids. It had a large, robust skull, with
