Early Cardstock Buster Brown Shoes Advertising Sign speaker Has been testedc. 1900s; Brown Shoe Co. St. Louis, MO Antique embossed cardstock sign with easelback for self standing display. This piece advertises Buster Brown shoes, a line of children's footwear that is still sold today at a small number of mall shops. The line of shoes is named for the eponymous comic strip character first introduced in 1902 and features the cast of the strip including Buster, Mary Jane, and Tige. Exhibits minor signs of wear including some
