Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of the Red Eagle, IV Class Cross Auction Archive and the Virgin of Sorrows(Roter Adler Orden Kreuz IV. Klasse). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1864 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse overlaid by a central white enameled medallion bearing a hand painted Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a central monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, the twelve oclock arm topped by an eyelet and suspension ring which retains a period
